Privacy Policy
Quizaata, by Klippers · Effective 1 November 2026
Quizaata is a 1v1 quiz game on Android and the web. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party tracking or analytics.
What we collect
- Account: a sign-in identifier from Firebase Authentication. If you play as a guest it is an anonymous id; if you use Google sign-in, Firebase also keeps your Google account's email address and id so you can sign in again.
- Profile: the username, avatar and language you choose, your gender if you choose to give it (you can skip it), and your country, taken from your device's region setting (not your location). Your username, avatar, country flag and win/loss record are shown to your opponents.
- Game data: your matches, answers, answer times, scores and statistics, and the history of your past matches.
- Reports: if you report a question, the question, the reason and your language.
- Technical data: our servers (Google Cloud) process standard technical information such as your IP address to deliver the service and keep it secure.
- Website visits: we count how many browsers open the website each day. We keep only the daily total, and your browser stores just the date of its last visit, so each browser counts once a day.
How we use it
- To run matches: pairing you with an opponent, timing and scoring answers on our servers, and showing results.
- To keep your profile, statistics and match history, and to avoid giving you questions you have already played.
- To review reported questions and keep the game fair. Our small admin team can look up an account and its match record to answer requests and to deal with cheating or offensive usernames. This can mean resetting a username or suspending an account, and we review answer speed and accuracy to spot cheating. Nothing is decided automatically.
If no other player picks your topic within 30 seconds, you play a practice opponent so you never wait long. Practice opponents are computer-controlled.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored and processed with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database and Cloud Functions) in the European Union (Belgium, europe-west1). Data is encrypted in transit.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, username, statistics, played-question lists and reports are deleted, and your sign-in account is removed. Matches you played stay in your opponents' history with you shown as "Deleted player", with no link to you.
Deleting your account
In the app or on the website, open Profile → Delete account. If you can no longer open the app, email us and we will delete it for you. See how to delete your account.
Your rights
You can see and change your profile in the app at any time, and delete your account as above. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or ask any question about this policy, by email.
Children
Quizaata is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date.
